The Chakras are focal points of energy, or prana, in the body and mark the places where spiritual energies intersect. The Sanskrit word, Chakra, simply translates to wheel and refers to the way that Chakras resemble spinning dics. There are 7 main chakras in your body and in-between these wheels are energy channels which allow the energy to flow from one to another. Each chakra is associated with specific qualities, colors, and aspects of our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

The origins of Chakras originated in India, when the Vedas, one of the oldest texts in India and a religious Hindu scripture were written. The concept of chakras ties into early Hindu concepts of the physical and subtle body. While the physical body consists of mass and is visible, the subtle body which includes mind and emotions, consists of energy and is invisible. In this system, spiritual or psychic energy from the subtle body influences the physical body and vice versa. This means that the status of a personas chakras can shape their overall health and well-being.

A lack of energy flow can cause imbalance and disconnection with the mind, body and spirit. When all chakras are balanced and flowing it will allow you to clear stagnation, emotional blockages, heal physical ailments and develop a higher level of awareness.
