CANDLE CARE

Candle care is important to ensure you are getting the most out of your soy candle. Here are some tips and tricks to bare in mind.

When first burning your candle its important to allow the wax to melt evenly across the entire surface before you put it out. Do not leave it burning for more than 4 hours.
Always burn your candles in plain sight, on a heat resistant surface away from anything flammable.
Please note we use natural soy wax products. Frosting, discoloration and rough tops are completely normal and do not effect the quality or performance of the candle.
Trimming the wick: before each use trim the wick to about 5mm. Keeping the wick short prevents the flame from growing too large. A proper wick length promotes a clean and steady flame, prolonging the life of your candle. Please note as these are double wood wicks they will separate slightly, this is normal and nothing to worry about.
Ensure your candle is placed away from drafts, a constant draft will cause the flame to flicker leading to an uneven burn and potentially more soot that usual.
Please keep your candles away from direct sunlight, as soy wax is softer than paraffin, heat sources can cause the wax to melt or warp. This will help to prevent their shape and scent.
If theres a small amount of wax let at the bottom of the jar, you can pop the candle in the freezer for a few hours. The cold will cause the wax to contract making it easier to pop out.
Soy wax candles are sensitive to temperature changes, so storing candles in a cool dark place helps to prevent the wax from softening of the fragrance from fading. High humidity can also affect the quality, please store in a dry place to avoid moisture build up.
